There is typically a slight 2 to 3 second delay when moving the cursor from 1 document to another but that is the only delay we can appreciate in Word 2013/16. We often have 3 or 4 of our 30 page KnowBrainer pictorial manuals open simultaneously because we typically have to edit them all. There are some incompatible add-ins that may need to be disabled but it sounds like you already have and it shouldn't be necessary to work with short documents. 16 Gb of RAM and an i7 quad core processor are excellent. We also think it works a little better with Dragon. That's why Microsoft pushes (made it the default) the 32-bit version onto everyone. The 32-bit version of Office 2013 should be more bulletproof than the 64-bit version.
